Singing Bird Cage

Bronze and gilt brass structure containing two birds and a double fountain and decorated with four enamel medallions featuring painted floral bouquets; crown wheel escapement and sprung balance, center seconds, rack chime sounding the hours and quarter-hours, serinette with four tunes (automatic change) on twelve flutes animating the two singing birds and the double fountain. Circa 1780.
