    An exceptional, fully restored Neuchâtel clock in the so-called Louis XIV style, signed Pierre Jaquet-Droz à La Chaux-de-Fonds, N° 85.
    The clock dates from the beginning of the watchmaker's career, around 1740.
    Its case is attributed to Pierre Jaquet-Droz's father-in-law, Abraham-Louis Sandoz, a cabinet maker by trade.
    It bears a two figure number, engraved on the back plate, and still has its original dial and hands.
